If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
The Local Authority admits children to the school by using the criteria set down in their brochure ‘A Partnership with Parents’. Normally priority is given to children who live with parents or guardians within the catchment area of the school.
Foundation Stage 1
Parents are welcome to visit at any time and fill in an application form. When a place is offered, introductory visits are arranged between home and school.
When children are admitted parents/carers are asked to stay with their child for at least one session, and are welcome to stay longer.
We aim to provide a happy and secure environment in which every child can experience a wide variety of learning opportunities as well as being able to play co-oporatively alongside and with other children. The planned Foundation Stage curriculum builds upon the skills and understanding which each child has already acquired, and develops them in all areas of their learning and development, including social, emotional, physical and intellectual.
Foundation Stage 2
We welcome parents to visit the FS2 provision and to meet the staff. Parent apply for a school place through Primary Admissions, once a place has been offered you will be invited to an introductory visit, your child will also be offered a home and nursery visit to get to know the staff better and be able to find out about your child.
Key Stage 1 and 2
Children move into Year 1 in the September following their admission into the Reception classes.
Children continue to move through the year groups each September until they are ready to transfer at the end of Year 6 into secondary education.
Any parent wishing to visit the school before applying for admission for their child is more than welcome to do so. Please phone for an appointment.
