  • Lost Property

    Thu 14 Jan 2016

We have accumulated a large amount of lost property throughout the school since we started in September and we are now no longer able to save these items long term due to lack of storage space.  Due to this, we are introducing a new procedure for organising lost property more efficiently.

Starting Monday 18th January 2016 (and then every 2 weeks on a Monday after this date), all items in lost property will be displayed outside in the yard from 2.45pm until 3.30pm for parents/carers to look through and take back any of their child’s items.  After this time, any unclaimed items will be kept in school for a further 2 weeks, if they remain unclaimed by the end of these 2 weeks, they will be donated to charity. After the 2 weeks, all new items brought to lost property will be displayed and will be subject to the same procedure.  Any items with names in will be returned to your child in their class.

Should the weather be such that we are not able to do the display outside it will be done in the Infant Hall.

To help us with lost property, please could you ensure that all of your child’s items of clothing are clearly labelled with their name.

Lost property will remain in the same place in the main school office in between the displays and you are welcome to attend at any time to have a look through.

As always, we would like to thank you for your co-operation with this matter
  • Pupil Premium & Early Years Pupil Premium

    Thu 07 Jan 2016

Schools are able to claim extra funding for children who are from low income households (annual family income under £16,190).  This extra funding is called Pupil Premium and provides extra funding for our children each year.

To claim the funding you must register your child. Eligible children are those whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits or if they have been in care or adopted from care.

In order for the school to obtain this additional funding can you please return the application form available on the website (this has also been sent out to every child in school to take home) to the main office by Thursday 14 January 2016.

Every child who has a successful Pupil Premium claim on 21 January 2016 will receive a free school jumper from us.  Parents will also be entered into a prize draw for a £100 Meadowhall voucher (one per Key Stage).
