• Snow worries!

  Thank you for being understanding regarding the circumstances around the severe weather. The school playground and surrounding footpaths were a mass of black ice this morning so, we took the decision to delay opening school to secure the safety of the site. Thanks to lots of hard work, gritt and determination from our school premises team we were able to open safely at 10am. 

  "Three cheers for Mr Rushforth !!!" our wonderful buildings supervisor.

  Please check that we have your most up to date mobile phone number at the school office as our first point of contact will always be our Teachers2Parents text service, to advise you of school closure or delayed opening. Please also check the school website and local radio stations.

  Lets hope that Spring is well and truly on it's way and we have no more 'snow worries' to battle through!

  We are planning to open school as normal on Monday March 5th - unless the weather drastically changes. Thank you for your patience and support during the past few days,when the fast changing weather conditions have often made it difficult to make decisions. We appreciate that it is not ideal for school to close and would like to reassure you that we do not take the decision to close lightly. We consider site safety, the number of staff able to travel to school to teach classes, and the surrounding traveling conditions for children and families. Our wonderful buildings and premises staff are working hard to secure the safety of our school site. Please help us to maintain the safety of the children to reinforce the use of paths and treated areas to walk on - we expect there will still be quite a bit of snow around. Enjoy what remains of the snow today! Have fun and take care! See you all tomorrow!

• Friday school closure.

  After careful consideration, we have decided to keep school closed on Friday March 2nd. We have taken into account site safety and also the safety of staff and  families travelling into school. We are also aware that the weather forecast tonight is for freezing temperatures and some snow flurries. Thank you for your support and we will update you with further information as it becomes available. ☃️

  Good morning. School and Nursery will remain closed today and there will not be a Breakfast Club. We will reschedule our World Book Day celebrations. We will keep you as updated and informed as possible about the changing situation. Please check back with our website regularly. Thank you.
