• Congratulations to our School Council!

  Big congratulations to all the children who have played their part in our School Coucil this Year.

  You have developed some wonderful ideas around recycling, management of water around school, playtimes and improvements at lunchtime.

  Well done and many thanks for all the effort that all have you have made to make our school better for all. Also a big Thank you to Miss Herbert for the time that she has given to School Coucil and her dedication to improving things for all of our children in school.

  

• Top Dojo Awards.

  Well done to our Summer top Dojo winners. All of the wonderful children have been awarded dojo points throughout the year. These are linked to the Hillsborough Code and also to the positive learning behaviours that we look for in class. Well done to all the recipiants of our Golden Owl!

  May we also give a special mention to Filip and Elena who have proudly received their bronze, silver and gold owls awarded from September this year.

  I'd like to wish everyone a wonderful break next week. I believe the weather is predicted to be sunny and warm so fingers crossed! Whatever your plans please enjoy spending time together - have fun, laugh together and find time to relax.

                 We'll see you all back at school on Monday June 4th!

  Remember - Sports Day Friday June 8th - KS2 in the morning and FS, KS1 in the afternoon at Hillsborough Arena. we look forward to seeing you there.

             All children require PE kit and suitable footwear please.

  You are great role models to have in school as you always try your best and follow our school rules to the best of your ability.

• Our Royal Wedding Celebrations!

  We have had a fantastic afternoon celebrating the upcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. We have enjoyed various activities, all with a Royal theme - Royal penalty shoot out, Royal bingo, Royal photo booth, Pin the crown on the princess, Royal icing on biscuits, crown making, Royal artist portraits and the Royal Disco!

  Thank you to our many parents who have supported their children with royal bun making in Year 1!

  Hello Year 6 - tomorrow  you will begin a week of SATs assessment. We know how hard you have worked and how important it is to you all that you achieve well in these tests. Try hard, be your best, believe and achieve!

  However there is also something important that you must know - the SATs tests do not assess what makes each of you special and unique and the levels that will be your outcomes from the tests will tell you something, but they will not tell you everything about you. There are many ways to be your best! So while you are preparing for the tests and in the midst of it all, remember that there is no way to ‘test’ all of the amazing and wonderful things that make you, YOU!

  We were lucky enough to welcome 'The Star' newspaper into school yesterday. They were so impressed with the children's learning and positive attitudes around school that they have decided to do a feature on us!

  We don't have a confirmed date but look out for this over the next couple of weeks. We'll let you know if we spot it first.
